Even as a child growing up in Orange County, California, Laurie knew that a career in show business was the only thing she ever wanted to do. She left home at sixteen to take a job singing in Nashville at Opryland USA and the Grand Ole Opry. From there she went on to see the world as a featured singer on cruise ships before moving to New York City. Since 1998 the city has been her home.

She found success in New York quickly, performing in the First National Tour of the Broadway hit Swing! as well as the Off-Broadway hit Our Sinatra. Her love and affinity for jazz standards, country music and Broadway hits made her a uniquely versatile performer, thrilling audiences and critics alike with her rich powerful voice, her uncanny maturity and her magical ability to make lyrics come alive and touch people’s hearts.

Laurie’s show-stopping performance as “Donna Sheridan” in the worldwide phenomenon Mamma Mia! was a career-defining triumph, with audiences on their feet and singing her praises across North America as well as on Broadway. It was also during her time with Mamma Mia! that she met actor and director Don Noble, first her original leading man, and now her husband and love of her life. They recently had the opportunity to tour the country together again with An American In Paris!

Laurie is equally at home in plays, musicals, and concert venues, bringing her passion and her distinct personality to each with verve and joyfulness. Recent credits include the world premiere of the new play Venus Rising, “Katherine” in Freaky Friday, and Trip Of Love Off-Broadway at Stage 42, as well as concert appearances at the world famous Birdland and 54 Below. She also coaches actors and singers in NYC, and her one-woman show is available for booking! Please see her resume for a full list of credits!
